Notice of Public Hearing for the LCTA 2026 Program of Projects
The Luzerne County Transportation Authority (LCTA) will hold a public hearing in the LCTA’s Meeting Room located at 300 South Pennsylvania Avenue, Wilkes-Barre, PA 18701 on Tuesday, June 23, 2026, at 4:00 PM. At this meeting, a proposal for a Program of Projects (POP) and a request for financial assistance under the Federal Transportation Act of 1964, as amended, will be considered. Prior to and after the hearing, the POP will be available for review at the above address from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday and online at www.lctabus.com.
The 30-day public comment period for the POP is open from June 1, 2026 through June 30, 2026. This funding project is for: Preventive Maintenance, ADA Non-Fixed Route Paratransit, Tire Lease, Fare Equipment, Purchase Signage, Computer Software, Route Planning Software, and Safety and Security. The term of the project is July 1, 2026 to June 30, 2027 with funds secured from FTA Section 5307 and Section 5339. Activity will take place entirely within the LCTA service area. The projects listed here constitute the final Program of Projects unless otherwise amended.
