Additional Information

Senior Citizens
Seniors aged 65 and older can ride LCTA buses all day, every day, for free, during regularly scheduled service hours. LCTA requires that all seniors interested in riding for free acquire the State Transit ID Card. To obtain a State Transit ID Card, a brief application must be filled out appropriately, with the required proof of age, and submitted to LCTA; a card will be issued immediately. You can stop by the administrative office at 315 Northampton Street, Kingston, and our friendly staff will assist you with the application.

Children
Children accompanied by an adult will ride for free if they are shorter than 42 inches, regardless of their age. Children taller than 42 inches will pay full fare. Please attend to your children while on the bus.

Transfers
Ask the bus operator for a transfer immediately upon boarding an inbound trip, then deposit exact fee. Transfers are for use only in a continuous direction, from point of origin to point of destination.

Reduced Fare
A Medicare card is sufficient proof for eligibility for the Federal Half Fare program.

Passengers with a disability, as defined by the Americans with Disabilities Act, may be entitled to a Pennsylvania Reduced-Fare Transit Identification Card to ride regular fixed route buses for one-half the regular adult fare. Passengers may bring their Medicare card to the Authority’s business office to receive their identification card. If you do not possess a Medicare card, you may request to have an application mailed to you. A doctor will need to sign the application to verify your disability. Once this is done, you may either mail the completed application to the Authority or return it in person and a Reduced Fare Transit Identification Card will be issued to you.

Exact fare requested. No cash refunds. Damaged or lost cards will not be replaced. All ticket/pass sales are final. No refunds can be given on tickets or passes. Thank you.
