Senior Citizen Information

SENIORS 65 AND OLDER CAN NOW RIDE LCTA BUSES ALL DAY, EVERY DAY, FOR FREE, DURING REGULARLY SCHEDULED SERVICE HOURS.

The LCTA requires that all seniors interested in riding LCTA Buses for free acquire the State Transit ID card. To obtain a State Transit ID card a brief application must be filled out appropriately, with the required proof of age, and we will issue you a card immediately. You can stop at the LCTA Adminstrative office at 315 Northampton Street, Kingston, and LCTA's friendly staff will assist you with the application.

 

Children 


Children Accompanied by an adult will be carried free if they are no taller than the height of the fare box.

Children taller than the fare box must pay regular fare.

 

Transfer Rules

 

Ask operator for transfer immediately upon boarding inbound trip and deposit exact fee. 

Transfers are for use only in continuous direction - FROM POINT OF ORIGIN TO POINT OF DESTINATION
